懸浮體測(cè)定粘度后攪拌1min，將一個(gè)計(jì)時(shí)器定在7.5min，另一個(gè)定在30min。將泥漿樣品倒入濾失儀中，至液面到頂緣的距離在13mm以?xún)?nèi)，放在濾紙，把濾失儀裝配好。計(jì)時(shí)，擰緊泄壓閥，調(diào)整調(diào)壓器，在30s內(nèi)加上700±35kpa的壓力。
7.5min后，除去懸掛在排液嘴上的液體。用干燥量筒收集濾液。30min后，取下懸掛在排液嘴上的液體并拿開(kāi)量筒，斷開(kāi)壓力，記下從7.5min到30min所收集的液體體積。

濾失量按（6）式計(jì)算
FL=2·V2……
